Text Box: Robert J. Matthews formed MATTHEWS BUSINESS SOLUTIONS LLC in 1998 after a long career at The Chase Manhattan Bank.  Successful engagements for major US and foreign financial institutions included: 
Re-engineering regulatory compliance infrastructure including Identification of regulatory changes, identification of impacted products/processes, communication and implementation of requirements and compliance monitoring.  Project included defining roll of compliance department, audit, legal, product owner, support areas, etc.

At Chase Mr. Matthews started in the audit area and after serving as audit manager in several areas he participated in the formation of the first regulatory compliance audit group in a major financial institution.  He subsequently played a major roll in the formation of the first regulatory compliance department in Chase.  He held positions including Vice President, Manager Internal Control, Compliance and Corporate Policy and Standards where he directed development, implementation and administration of key corporate internal control policies and practices, including:
